Get into the spirit of St. David’s Day with these fantastic events

1. St Davids Day in our capital city

Our compact capital city will be a-buzzing with events as usual this St. David’s Day – among them the Really Welsh Food Festival between February 26th-28th, where you’ll find great food and drink suppliers from across Wales ready to help you stock up on fine produce for your St. David’s Day feast – www.reallywelsh.com

Also getting Welsh people into a patriotic mood is the St. David’s Day Celebrations and Parade in the city on March 1st, featuring a parade with floats, flags, bands, dragons and participants in national or historic dress – www.stdavidsday.org, find accommodation in St Davids

2. Crickhowell Walking Festival

3. St Davids celebrations around Swansea

6. Bryn Williams Food Tasting and Market at Wrexham

7. North Wales St David’s Day Parade & Festival Week

While the countdown is on for the sixth annual North Wales St David’s Day Parade & Festival week, from February 26th, which promises a feast of music, a parade, the chance to take part in some Welsh lessons, floral displays and demonstrations, traditional and farmers markets and a host of other activities such as walks and workshops and open churches. 8. Free Entry to Welsh Castles Monuments and Museums

As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, Cadw, the Welsh Assembly Government’s historic environment service, will celebrate St David’s Day by once again offering free admission to all its managed monuments in Wales on Sunday 1 March more info at www.cadw.wales.gov.uk
